Amazon, the famous online store, is increasingly inclined to launch its own technological products, finding devices such as the Echo, Echo Show, Kindle or Fire Stick for our television.
However, what is less known is that since September 2021, Amazon has also had its own brand of televisions which started with a first generation of more traditional LED panels and which is now preparing for a generation full of improvements and with a panel that, on paper, promises to be more interesting.
These new Amazon TVs will feature Samsung-made QLED panels of which there are, for now, few specific details apart from the fact that they will feature full local damming in both of their models (one 65-inch and one 75-inch) with pricing starting at $800, which wouldn’t be bad for a 65-inch TV.
Amazon previews some of its features
Although we do not yet know many aspects of this new model, such as the ability to cover different color spaces, we do know some characteristics such as having 80 and 96 dimming zones respectively, as well as being compatible with Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+ and HLG technologies, and to have an ambient light sensor to automatically change the brightness.
They also incorporate a proximity sensor to detect when we enter the room and display what it shows on the screen with an information HUB and a control panel to control other devices, features that in part , inherit the Echo Show. Additionally, these TVs will have their own Alexa skills to enhance the experience.
Both TVs can be pre-ordered starting today in the US and Canada for $799 for the 65-inch and $1,099 for the 75-inch, but as of now there’s no information on a definitive release date or its arrival in Spain or other European countries.
