One of the thefts took place on Wednesday December 20 at 8:45 p.m. in Vélizy-Villacoublay. The total damage is estimated at 150,000 euros.
In Vélizy-Villacoublay (Yvelines), two men were arrested following stealing, in particular PS5s, from a warehouse on rue Marcel Dassault, apparently an Amazon warehouse, BFM Paris Île-de-France learned.
The theft took place on Wednesday December 20 around 11:45 p.m. The same facts occurred once more on Thursday, December 21, with the same drivers, both aged 28 and warehouse employees.
Tried in immediate appearance on December 26
The Anti-Crime Brigade (BAC) observed several new PS5s behind the seats in the cabin of the delivery truck. It was the manager who discovered the theft, upon noticing empty packages hidden between pallets.
A complaint was filed for damages amounting to 23,000 euros. The damage for the theft committed in the evening amounted to around 30,000 euros. The two employees were arrested.
They were presented on Friday December 22 to the judge of freedoms and detention with a view to their placement in pre-trial detention. They will be judged at the immediate appearance hearing on December 26, specifies the prosecution.
The total damage is currently estimated at 150,000 euros.
