Amazon Strike on Black Friday: Employees Demand Permanent Jobs and Secure Income

A union has announced a strike at Amazon in Germany for Black Friday. Actions are planned in several countries, notably in front of Amazon’s offices in Brussels.

A large union called employees of five Amazon distribution centers in Germany to strike during Black Friday. This sales day is often one of the busiest of the year for e-commerce sites like Amazon. Through these actions, the union intends to strengthen its demands for more permanent jobs and more secure income for employees.

Staff at Amazon establishments in Koblenz, Leipzig, Rheinberg, Dortmund and Bad Hersfeld will therefore stop working, announces the Verdi union. This acts, according to him, “to highlight those who make these turnovers possible and who are still waiting for the start of salary negotiations”.

Actions in Brussels and Antwerp for Black Friday
