Amazon rainforest deforestation increased by 150% in last month of Bolsonaro’s tenure

Deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon increased by 150 percent in December, during the last month of President Jair Bolsonaro’s term in office, compared to the same month in 2021, according to official statistics released on Friday.
