The online sales giant has just announced that its home automation products and other connected objects such as its Echo smart speakers are now subject to Matter compatibility. The web giant is thus following the trend like other major brands such as Philips, Samsung, etc.
Amazon is indeed keen to make its products compatible with the standard so that they are compatible with other home automation products.

A first step towards a total migration!
In fact, Amazon lets us know that from 2023, its products will be compatible with the Matter standard and that now all its connected products will be too. In addition, in order for the standard to grow, Amazon announces that it is making available a development SDK for the technology and offers its “Commissionable Endpoint API” for all interested developers.
Of course, the web giant confirms at the same time that all products stamped “Works with Alexa” will also become compatible with Matter.
