Amazon Games Vice President Christoph Hartmann said in an interview with TechRadar that the studio was engaged in Russian localization for MMO New Worldbut amid the conflict in Ukraine, the work was frozen.
At what stage the transfer was, it is not clear.
Amazon Games also published Smilegate’s MMO Lost Ark on the global market, while VK Group published the game in Russia. Journalists have already contacted Smilegate representatives to comment on its further plans to support the game in the Russian Federation.
The most radical decisions regarding the Russian gaming market have now been made by EA, CD Projekt and Bloober Team – they will suspend sales of their titles on all platforms.
