Celebrate the first anniversary of New World
Greetings, adventurers!
The first year of New World was full of major changes for Aeternum. The comments of the players accompanied each update and helped us introduce quality of life improvements, like the revamped next startup experience. We mightn’t be more grateful for the continued support we’ve received from the community over the past year. Prior to delve into what’s coming for New Worldwe want to reflect on some of the highlights of the game on our first anniversary.
New World 1st Anniversary Infographic
Have you ever wondered how many fish were caught during The Summer Medleyfaire or how many stolen gifts were recovered during the Winter Convergence? And what regarding the Faction, the Expedition and the most popular Settlement? We’ve created an infographic with some of the most requested stats from the community on the game’s first anniversary.
A look into Aeternum’s past
To close out the first year, we’d like to take a look at some of our favorite videos:
Myrkgard Dev Run
Community requests go beyond updates to some of our content. For example, our Myrkgard Dev Run. The development team came to her looking for treasure, but only left with smiles.
let us know if you would like the team to face more challenges in the future.
Puntuación de Eternum
Forum comments frequently applaud the sound team. Their captivating music continues to make the world of Aeternum that much more immersive. Scoring Aeternum focuses on the launch music, but the team continues producing jingles for new events like The Medleyfaire Summer Fair.
Expect even more New World melodies in the release of Sands of Sulfur.
Pesadillas of Eternum
To celebrate Halloween, we’ve unearthed spooky stories from the Aeternum journals and recreated them. These videos were made in part because fans asked for more information regarding the game’s lore. Lore fans can look forward to more direct story ties as part of the revamped starter experience.
This year, the spooky season will culminate with our Nightveil Hallow event, featuring a unique boss and maybe even some scary stories.
Valentine’s getaway in New World.
The idea of ”forever” was a natural fit for the Eternal Isle. The team had a lot of fun putting together this parody vacation ad.
More alternate versions of the New World videos are planned in the future.
New World: Spring fashion
New World: Spring Fashions was a fun way to show off the new seasonal fashions that arrived with our spring update. Our favorite pieces of armor are often related to the seasons, like the Winter Convergence.
We will continue to update the store with new skins for players and their homes in the future.
Recorrido por Eternum
The Aeternum Tour was designed to give players an insight into the unique cities of Aeternum. The most difficult aspect of these videos was making each area as attractive as the last.
With the revamping of the zone starting experience, we may need to start new tours of the eternal island.
Tales of Eternum
This video series talks regarding the enemies found in Aeternum. Our Lore team would love to hear what areas of the story you’d like to know more regarding.
Tales of Aeternum became a written series that expands on some of the subtler narratives of the world.
The First Update Video from the New World team.
It is very appropriate to end our first anniversary with a video of the first update from the New World team of December 2021.
Communication with players remains crucial for New World to grow and evolve. Please keep your feedback coming as we move into year two. We appreciate your support during our first year and look forward to introducing even better experiences to Aeternum.
