AMARTHA Run challenges runners to cover a distance of 10 kilometers (10K) in the Amartha 10X Run, which will be held in Jakarta on September 15.
The organizing committee said that using a distance of 10 kilometers instead of 5 kilometers, as is often done in other recreational running competitions, aims to encourage participants to go beyond their own limits.
“Amartha 10X Run conveys the message that everyone is capable of performing beyond what they realize. Push Your Limit makes everyone aware that they can do things that were previously considered impossible. The 10-kilometer route was chosen because Amartha aims to grow 10 times more, of course with the support of stakeholders in the Amartha ecosystem who will also participate in this joint running activity,” said Amartha’s Chief Finance Officer, Ramdhan Anggakaradibrata, during a press conference, Wednesday (14/8).
Amartha 10X Run targets 3,000 participants and involves the entire Amartha ecosystem, starting from banking partners as institutional funders, A-team employees, strategic partners of sustainability programs, and is open to the public.
To prepare the strength of the running participants, Amartha collaborated with the Indorunner community to hold the Road to Amartha 10X Run program from July 19 to August 25.
This program is held in several big cities, namely, Jakarta, Medan, Makassar, Malang, Balikpapan, Palembang, and Bali.

Road to Amartha 10X facilitates runners with a series of strength and speed training so that they can later run up to 10 kilometers.
Meanwhile, the race director of Amartha 10X Run from Indonesia Muda Road Runner Satrio Guardian said that he had made a number of preparations from technical to health aspects to ensure that participants could run the race safely and comfortably.
“IMRR will prepare four ambulances equipped with AED (Automated external defibrillator) spread along the route and medical personnel every two kilometers. Then there is also the placement of marshals every 100 meters at intersections which is the IMRR safety standard. To avoid dehydration in participants, IMRR places water stations every 2.5 kilometers with a total of four points,” said Satrio, who prepared six doctors and 19 nurses and physiotherapists.
The event, which will take place in September, will start from Gelora Bung Karno at 06.10 WIB with a cut off time of two hours.
