The first federal office since the first resignation of Amara Charafeddine took place yesterday at the headquarters of the FAF in Dely Brahim, decisions were taken in view of the next election.
After last week’s regarding-face when we learned that Amara Charafeddine was renouncing to resign following announcing it at a press conference, the federal office, which was held without Mouldi Aissaoui and Amar Bahloul suspended, decided that the next Ordinary General Meeting is convened for in one month, i.e. May 19, 2022.
As a reminder, Amara had initially announced his immediate resignation, leaving the effective presidency of the FAF to the first vice-president Mohamed Maouche.
The press release from the BF published today specifies that this AGO will have, among other things, on the agenda to ratify the resignation of the President as well as the convening of an Extraordinary General Assembly (AGEX) with on its agenda a single point relating to the election of the new management of the FAF.
Beforehand, a last BF must meet on April 28 to adopt the moral and financial balance sheets as well as the new statutes of the FAF, of which an AGEX should be scheduled for their adoption.
If all goes well, a new president should be elected before June and the start of the CAN 2023 qualifiers.
