Amandine, who is currently pregnant with her ninth child with her husband Alexandre, also explained that their family had been affected by a small epidemic since Saturday March 25, 2023. At first, only Octave was sick, with a cough, runny nose and fever. Amandine shared her concerns on social media, describing her son’s plight and the struggles she was facing caring for him while caring for her other eight children.
The next day, Sunday March 26, Amandine shared good news on her Instagram account: Octave was better, his cough had disappeared and he had slept well without being woken up by his stuffy nose. She also reported that her fever was gone, which was a relief for the whole family.
But the good news was short lived because, a few days later, Octave relapsed. This time he is suffering from what his mother describes as a “stomach flu” with some flu-like symptoms and vomiting or diarrhea. Charles and Hector, two other children in the family, are also sick.
