A strong crossover of accusations was registered between the Alto legislators of the Movement Towards Socialism (MAS), Virginia Velasco and Renán Cabezas. Velascó called her colleague a “little rooster”, extortionist and traitor, and Cabezas described her as a corrupt godmother and owner of cisterns.

Deputy Cabezas, in his eagerness to come out in defense of former President Evo Morales, questioned the government of Luis Arce for not clarifying the facts of corruption and cases of protection for drug trafficking, in addition to not solving the country’s economic problems. To which Senator Velasco responded that President Arce is involved in issues of management, industrialization, job creation and working for a sustainable economy, for which he asked to be allowed to govern.

In this context, both crossed harsh accusations during a debate on the Noches Sin Trugua de Cadena A program.

“The donkey talking regarding ears, little rooster, you are a Mirista, with what morality do you speak voice, what morality do you have to talk regarding the instrument, you have no morality to speak,” the senator attacked.

He pointed out that Cabezas has a past in the Revolutionary Left Movement (MIR), which is why he responds to a neoliberal line. Furthermore, he told her that he is a failed politician because as a candidate he did not win in the Constituent Assembly, by going with that party.

Likewise, he recalled that Cabezas committed irregularities as a leader of the Federation of Neighborhood Councils (Fejuve) of El Alto.

“You were a leader of Fejuve, when you were the secretary of transportation, how did you extort the carriers, you even said that they had to go to make some pact, some negotiated to Achocalla,” he said.

He accused his colleague of being a traitor, a chameleon and what happens, who only knows how to defame and slander the current government. He remarked that the MAS does not belong to Evo Morales, but to the social organizations.

For his part, deputy Renán Cabezas responded that he was a neighborhood leader on several occasions, a candidate for the Constituent Assembly and a deputy elected by popular vote, he did not come “on hidden lists” to be in the Legislature, he remarked.

“There is no need to talk regarding bad gratitude, Senator, you have been Evo’s (Justice) Minister,” Cabezas reminded his colleague.

He pointed out that the current government is the one that is incurring in old neoliberal practices seeking to benefit families, leaders and does not think regarding the population.

“If we go to irregular events, I ask her, what relationship, what link does she have, what relationship does she have politically or by blood with Vice President David Choquehuanca who has disappeared from the political scene, nor does he run the Legislative Assembly well,” he said.

Cabezas added: “There is corruption in the Ministry of the Environment and Water, of which Senator Virginia was godmother, of Iraizos, of the Epsas controller. Perhaps we do not have information, you also have to inform the people if it is true or not that you are the owner of tankers that transport fuel”.
