Two drivers in Tsim Sha Tsui were suspected of arguing over their driving attitude, and one was arrested for assaulting others. The police received a report at regarding 9:50 a.m. yesterday (8th) that a 68-year-old male taxi driver was driving off No. 30 Canton Road. He was suspected of arguing with another man because of his driving attitude and was attacked by the other man. The taxi driver suffered injuries to his mouth and hands following the incident. He was conscious and sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment. The case was handed over to the third team of the Criminal Investigation Team of Yau Tsim Police District for follow-up.
After further investigation, the police arrested a 30-year-old male truck driver surnamed Xu in the same district today (9th) on suspicion of “assault causing bodily harm”. He has been released on bail pending further investigation and must report to the police in early next month.
