The event occurred shortly following 3 a.m., at the exit of the Cognac bar on rue Saint-Joseph Est, near rue Monseigneur-Gauvreau, in the Saint-Roch district.

For some unknown reason, at least two belligerents, one in their thirties and the other in their twenties, came to blows. One was injured in the hand, while the other sustained arm injuries. We wouldn’t fear for their lives.

One of the two men had already left the scene when the police arrived, but he was found a little later.

An investigation by the General Crimes Unit of the Service de police de la Ville de Québec (SPVQ) showed that a sharp object was used during the fight.

The police force’s general crimes unit is currently investigating to understand what may have led to the breaststroke. The SPVQ is asking for the public’s help to move the investigation forward.

No one has been arrested so far.
