On June 9 and 10, a storm warning was announced in the Altai Territory due to rains, thunderstorms, hail and strong winds approaching the region, the regional hydrometeorological center reports.
On June 9, temperatures of +28…+33 degrees are predicted in the region, up to +38 degrees in some places. At the same time, intermittent rains, thunderstorms and heavy rain showers are expected in places in the region. Hail is also possible.
The wind will blow from the south with a transition to the northwest, 9-14 m/s, gusts will reach 15-20 m/s in some places, with thunderstorms in some places there will be squalls up to 25 m/s.
In Barnaul it will be +30…+32 degrees. Friday will be mostly rainless. At the end of the day, it will rain for a short time and a thunderstorm will rumble. South wind with transition to northwest, 9-14 m/s, with thunderstorm gusts up to 15-20 m/s.
On June 10, the long-awaited coolness of +21…+26 degrees will come to the region. At the same time, short-term rains, thunderstorms, in some places heavy downpours and hail are predicted for most of the territory. The wind will blow from the north, 9-14 m/s, in places with gusts of 15-20 m/s, with thunderstorms in places squalls up to 25 m/s are possible.
On June 11, in the region, the thermometer will once more creep up, but will stop at +22…+27 degrees. In the east, intermittent rains and thunderstorms are expected in places with a northeast wind of 5-10 m/s, as well as in places with gusts up to 15 m/s.
Recall that in the Altai Territory until June 9, a storm warning regarding abnormally hot weather from +30 degrees and above also continues to operate. In addition, a storm warning of extreme fire danger has been declared in the region until July 13. Thus, now there are three active storm forecasts in the region at once.
Earlier it became known that the Altai Territory experienced the peak of abnormal heat. According to forecasters, June 7 was the hottest day in recent days. Now the heat in the region is on the decline.
