Five months following the launch of the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, which we tested, and 13 Ultra, their replacements are already starting to be talked regarding. In this case, this first information comes to us from the leaker Digital Chat Station, often well informed when it comes to Chinese mobiles. His words are relayed to us by GSMArena.

Among the preliminary information shared, details concerning the on-board processor, but also concerning the batteries, as well as details relating to the supported charging speeds. By their very early leak, this information however deserves to be taken with all the necessary hindsight: it is quite possible that the specifications of Xiaomi’s next flagships will evolve between now and their launch, expected at the end of 2023.

Very powerful mobiles… but was it necessary to doubt it?

Anyway, we learn that the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro would be among the first to be equipped with the future Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. As a reminder, the latter should be announced by Qualcomm on the occasion of the Summit announced between the 24 and October 26, 2023, in Hawaii. It would therefore be ready to integrate with the two flagships of Xiaomi expected in November, estimates GSMArena.

The presence of Qualcomm’s new chip on the Xiaomi 14 would not be very surprising. The Xiaomi 13 being equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, it would be logical for the partnership between Xiaomi and Qualcomm to continue with the next generation of high-end mobiles from the Chinese giant.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 would benefit from a “1 + 5 + 2” configuration, with a very high performance Cortex-X4 core, five Cortex-A720 cores and two high energy efficiency Cortex-A520 cores. The SoC would also be equipped with an Adreno 750 GPU part which should offer a significant leap forward in terms of graphics performance.

For the rest, we learn that the Xiaomi 14 would be equipped with a 4,860 mAh battery compatible with 90 W fast charging and 50 W wireless charging. The Pro version, finally, would rely on a a slightly larger 5,000 mAh battery, this time benefiting from 120 W fast charging and 50 W wireless charging.

Given the supposed launch window for the Xiaomi 14 (relatively close), no doubt more information will reach us, through official channels or not, in the coming months.
