Already 98 files at the ‘racism court’ of the Football Association halfway through the season: “Situation is harrowing”

With the hate reactions once morest the youth players of AA Gent, racism in football is once more in the spotlight. “There is an acute problem. The situation is harrowing,” says Dirk Thijs, chairman of the ‘racism court’ of the Belgian Football Association. He already received 98 files halfway through this season. The court issued 153 rulings over the entire previous season.
