Everything was actually done at FC Luzern for Bernhard Alpstaeg to take power. But the board of directors and minority shareholder Josef Bieri kept the better end to themselves on Wednesday evening.

The election of the board of directors and two proposals from the majority shareholder Bernhard Alpstaeg were on the agenda at the general meeting of FCL Holding AG on Wednesday. This demanded the deselection of the current FCL board of directors around President Stefan Wolf and his own re-election – as president and only board of directors of the holding company. In view of the majority situation, Bernhard Alpstaeg owns 52 percent of the FCL shares, actually a formality. Minority shareholder Josef Bieri, who owns 48 percent of the shares and, like many fans, has backed the current board of directors, seemed doomed to watch.
