No Swiss podium during the Kvitfjell Super-G. Beat Feuz finished 5th 0.31 behind winner Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, while Marco Odermatt missed.
You had to be a veteran to be on the podium in Norway. Or be called James Crawford. The soon-to-be 25-year-old Canadian, 2nd at 0.07 behind Kilde, was the only one to interfere in the debate of the veterans of the World Cup. In this context, the victory went to the child of the country Aleksander Aamodt Kilde who wins the globe of the specialty.
But the Norwegian saw his opponents approach his time. On the 3rd step of the podium we find Matthias Mayer at 0”12 and the winner of the day before, Dominik Paris. The Swiss are just behind these 4 men with Beat Feuz always comfortable on this track whether downhill or super-G.
And behind the Olympic downhill champion, it was Justin Murisier who perfectly negotiated the contours of this fairly easy run. This 6th place is his 2nd best performance in the discipline following his 5th place in Saalbach in 2020. Super result for Niels Hintermann who ends his fantastic Scandinavian stay with a 9th place. This is his first career top 10 in this discipline.
