On Saturday, the Tyrolean was 0.94 seconds faster than his first pursuer, the Frenchman Clement Noel. At the finish, Feller said the ride “definitely didn’t feel as good” as the time would indicate. “It was very difficult to get the skis moving on the steep slope,” said the 31-year-old. “But I’d rather it be that way than the other way around.”
