Pierre Gasly finished in 10th place after dropping his position after changing tires. Yuki Tsunoda crashed into Turn 10 right after changing tires and ended up retiring.
“After hard work by the team and drivers all weekend, we weren’t able to maximize our chances of scoring a lot of points with both cars,” commented Jody Egginton.
“The cause was that the engineering team changed to dry tires too early. This caused both cars to drop positions, and Yuki had the misfortune of sliding right after. We ended up with just one car and finished with far fewer points than we should have.”
“As a team, we’re going to look at the details of the race, see where we can improve, and learn what we need to do next time. We missed a big opportunity today that we needed to hold on to.”
