Alpha Tauri F1 announces livery of 2023 F1 machine “AT04” on February 11[F1-Gate.com]

Scuderia AlphaTauri announced that it will unveil the livery (coloring) of the 2023 F1 machine “AT04” in New York on Saturday, February 11th.

Scuderia AlphaTauri posted on social media on Friday a rendering of an F1 car under cover at the famous Brooklyn Bridge with the words ‘February 11 NYC’ and ‘Save the Date’.

Although AT04 will be unveiled in New York City, the hashtag #liverylaunch is attached, emphasizing that it is only a coloring announcement. Therefore, it is highly likely that the actual AlphaTauri AT04 will be officially unveiled on February 23rd, the first day of pre-season testing in Bahrain.

Scuderia AlphaTauri failed to deliver the expected results under the new regulations and finished ninth in the constructors’ standings. It fell far behind sister team Red Bull Racing, who won both title battles.

The team’s biggest problem was the inconsistency of the cars. There were weekends when Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda were able to battle for points, but there were also weekends when they struggled to get past Q1.

Pierre Gasly said midway through the season the team needed a big reset to make a decent profit.

“To be honest, I don’t have a complete answer why we seem to be struggling more than other teams in midfield,” Gasly said.

“So I think we need to take a step back and look at the whole situation, the big picture, what we’re doing aerodynamically, in which direction we’re going, how we decided to use the budget cap. I think, because early in the season we were already quite on the limit.”

Pierre Gasly, who will move to the Alpine F1 team in 2023, recently revealed that Scuderia AlphaTauri will change the concept with “AT04”.

“Last season I was the top midfielder, but this year I’m back in midfield. Who knows what’s going to happen next season, maybe AlphaTauri have completely changed the concept of the car. I’ll be back in the fight because I’m out there, it’s hard to say,” explained Pierre Gasly.

Nick de Vries, who replaced Pierre Gasly, made an impressive ninth-place F1 debut for Williams at the Italian Grand Prix, replacing Alexander Albon, and won a contract with Scuderia AlphaTauri. .
