ALP: A Strong Association of Leisure, Culture, Solidarity, and Sports – The Highlights and Future Plans

It was time to take stock, for the ALP (Amicale Laïque de Ploemeur), this Saturday, June 24 in the morning in its premises on rue des Pommiers, where the general assembly was held.

It was in the presence of Ronan Loas, mayor, his assistant for sports, Christian Perrien and Roger Rouzé, president of the Office of Associative Life, that Gilbert Le Guerroué, the president of this strong association of 1,080 members and 15 sections, looked back on a year dotted with leisure, culture, solidarity and sports meetings with beautiful podiums.

Looking for volunteers

But the ALP remains a fine association with strong friendly values: it is affiliated with the League of Education and the Municipal Office for Associative Life. It has nine employees, a judo teacher, five adult gym leaders and one for the children’s gym, a badminton coach and an accounting secretary. Building on its success, the adult gym section will hire two new employees.

A planned gourmet hike

The Amicale, which signed a partnership agreement with the City in 2022, will now affix the municipal logo to the uniforms of the sports sections and communication media. A “breath and movement” section has been created, which integrates the members and activities of the former Taiji Quan section. For the next season, the ALP plans to organize a gourmet hike open to the general public. The association will once once more be present at the sports festival, on September 3, at the Oxygen plain, from 2 p.m., not without having programmed, the same day in the morning, its big day of registrations.
