DJI, a technology company in China that mainly produces and develops civilian drones and aerial photography systems, was found to have system components in its drones, such as storage devices, photography, communications, power supplies, and GPS, all from foreign manufacturers. Not made in China.

This discovery also made netizens satirize: “Then DJI designs the casing and puts a trademark on it?”, “The casing must be made in China”, “It’s insulting to China, please replace it with domestic production.” Some people also questioned: “Storage, communication, power supply and GPS systems are all useless parts and have no technical content, but what regarding the core processor? What regarding the gyroscope?” However, some people said slowly: “This is a class A, Also, Class B is all domestically produced”, “These are all replaceable, not core equipment”, emphasizing that these are easy to find substitutes and do not involve core content.

Most of the sources of built-in systems for DJI UAVs come from overseas countries. In addition to Samsung, the leading Korean telecommunications company, there are also its semiconductor giant SK Hynix, and American semiconductor companies that specialize in manufacturing and providing radio frequency systems. There is u-blox, the leading supplier of GNSS solutions in Switzerland.
