The members of the Cipolletti Deliberative Council will give the green light to the project of the Executive Power to recategorize more than 400 municipal employees. Most will go up two categories in the municipal ranking, but more than 140 are in the lot with the highest increase: three categories. While regarding 20 will receive an additional remuneration upgradable by the difference of one category as appropriate for each particular case.

Although the news is a relief for the mass of municipal workers, due to the strong impact of inflation on the economy, from the Simatruci union they questioned the lack of participation to define the criteria for the salary increase. They supported the proposal, but have doubts regarding the final result.

On Friday the municipal legislative body will meet for the third time in the year and the most important project will be this recategorization of a mass of workers that represents almost the total number of permanent employees.

The project entered the Council at the end of April and following passing through several legislative commissions it reached parliamentary work and yesterday it was confirmed that it will be one of the projects to be discussed this Friday.
According to the project, 147 employees will add three categories on the salary scale, 238 will go up two, and 25 will receive an additional similar to one category above the current one.

In this way, the proposal would imply an improvement for 405 agents of the total of 442 that the municipality currently has on a permanent staff”supports the memorandum that the Human Resources department sent to the government secretariat to start the process.

The unions of ATE, Upcn and Soyem accepted the recategorization but requested that for group “C” that additional one that finally entered the project. The only union that was once morest it was Sitramuci.

From the union, the only one that is not part of the union front, they said that the salary increase is always “good news” but that they were not part of the criteria and that is why they have a certain distrust of the project.

“The information was not complete for everyone. We had concerns that they are close to retiring and that is why we asked that they be given the highest category because they are going to retire with a miserable salary. We agree with the recategorization but we want to know the criteria used. We support, but we are going to find out if there is any bad intention from the municipality”, indicated Omar Meza, a reference from Sitramuci.
