Madrid, Apr 17 (EFE).- The mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, considered this Sunday that the lawyer Fernado Pamos de la Hoz “has not acted on his own initiative” when filing a complaint against him for the case of the masks and has indicated that he has represented the PSOE in “various lawsuits”.

Pamos de la Hoz has filed a complaint against Martínez-Almeida for an alleged crime of omission of the duty to prosecute crimes, for not having reported the alleged scam of businessmen Luis Medina and Alberto Luceño to the City Council in a contract for the sale of masks.

Martínez-Almeida has told the media that Pamos has represented the Socialist Party in various lawsuits and, “therefore, it seems difficult that he acted without the knowledge or consent of the Socialist Party.”

For the mayor, this complaint “demonstrates, once again, that the Socialist Party is involved, without a doubt, in a hunt that has no justification.”

Martínez-Almeida, who attended the drumming that ends Holy Week in Madrid, pointed out: “What a coincidence, what a coincidence, that the lawyer who presented it is closely linked to the Socialist Party.”

In addition, he has indicated that “he had never heard of” Pamos de la Hoz, but he is “clear” that “he has not acted on his own initiative, but has acted directed and we already know with whom this lawyer has ties.”

The mayor has said that Pedro Sánchez has set “his sights on the city of Madrid” and that what “he does not win with the polls, what he does not win against the policies of the center right, he wants to win in the destruction of the adversary” , but you won’t get it in this case.

“It will not end either the center-right policies in Madrid or the people who represent those policies,” said Martínez-Almeida.

Asked when he thinks what he describes as a “hunt” against him will end, he has considered that “it will not end”, because the left-wing parties in the Madrid City Council have decided that “the only way to get the government” is “trying to kill off the people who represent it.”
