Mr. Lorival Luz is the new CEO of Alloha Fibra Group
Alloha Fibra, Brazil’s largest independent fiber optic operator, announces Lorival Luz as new CEO, replacing Alexandre Moshe, who resigned from his position. Luz, who had held the executive chairmanship of the company’s Board of Directors since April, now leads the Company with the aim of further accelerating integration, business growth and the expansion plan, generating more operational efficiency and seeking synergies between the nine commercial brands that make up the group’s portfolio (Mob, Wire, Sumicity, Click, Univox, Giga+, Vip, Niu Fibra and Ligue).
The executive takes over with the aim of further accelerating the integration and growth of the business, generating more operational efficiency and moving forward with the expansion plan.
Moshe left a relevant legacy during the two years he commanded the Company. Under his management, Alloha moved from an operation of eight completely autonomous companies to the creation and formation of the Alloha Fibra Group, a leading independent operator in the sector and which had the highest growth in the number of fixed broadband customers in Brazil in 2022.
The Company currently registers approximately R$ 1.4 billion in annual revenues and more than 1.4 million subscribers throughout the country. It also has more than 110,000 kilometers of fiber, covering 7.8 million HPs in more than 280 cities, and a network capable of serving 650 municipalities in 22 states in Brazil.
Controlled by the alternative investment manager eB Capital, Alloha Fiber is the only independent optical fiber provider with nationwide coverage. “And there’s still a lot of room to grow. Lorival assumes the position with the objective of continuing our process of integration and organic and inorganic growth led by Alexandre Moshe, to whom we are extremely grateful for the work carried out. In this market, Alloha will be consolidating”, says Pedro Parente, co-founder of the manager and responsible for the optical fiber thesis.
Scalable trajectory
“Alloha Fibra has an impressive growth trajectory, being the fastest growing fixed broadband operator in Brazil last year. I take over the company with the commitment to continue the advances led by Alexandre Moshe in these last two years. The focus is on accelerating the integration of our brands and operations, advancing our growth strategy and being a protagonist in the consolidation process of this sector, which is expanding and modernizing the country’s telecommunications infrastructure”, says Lorival Luz, CEO of Alloha Fibra.
The executive has more than 32 years of experience in leading companies in their segments. He was COO and CEO of BRF – a company with revenues of more than R$50 billion and around 100,000 employees in different countries – and Global CFO of Votorantim Cimentos and CPFL Energia, following an 18-year journey at Citibank. Luz is also an operating partner of eB Capital.
