Ukraine’s NATO allies have in recent days begun moving troops and equipment in response to the Russian invasion.

For the moment, these reinforcements have been deployed on the outskirts of Ukraine rather than in the heart of the regions affected by the strikes. However, several NATO countries have sent arms and ammunition to the Ukrainian army.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, for example, announced that Canada would send 450 troops to Europe. Of these, 120 soldiers from Valcartier were sent to Latvia.
In addition, on Friday, NATO decided to deploy some elements of its Response Force, made up of 40,000 soldiers. Among these are 8,000 soldiers who are part of a very high readiness joint task force.
