Isn’t it contradictory to associate energy sobriety and energy efficiency?
Although they are often mentioned together, “sobriety” and “efficiency” nevertheless remain different terms.
The association of one and the other must allow a energy consumptionenergy consumption better controlled and lead to reducing our environmental impact to make French homes and French businesses smart and responsible energy havens! Moreover, according to the IPCCIPCC« the effectiveness and energy sobrietyenergy sobriety might make it possible to reduce by 40 to 70% by 2050 broadcastsbroadcasts of greenhouse gasgreenhouse gas “. Faced with these figures, who can refuse to stand together for the health of our beautiful blue Planet?
But then, what is energy sobriety?
For France to become “sober”, efforts must be made and lifestyles must be modified through certain everyday gestures for example, both at the level of a household and that of a company!
Then, larger-scale actions will be expected: reduction in the use of coalcoalof oiloil and gas, drastic development of renewable energies, implementation of soft mobility, then more teleworking and less air travel. As for buildings, the DPE is already helping the French to improve their isolationisolation and their energy efficiency. But, as Sophie Delaitre, CSR manager at SPIE Facilities, explains, any change does not take place without information or education among (future) stakeholders…
And what regarding energy efficiency?
We talk regarding energy efficiency to refer to all the strategies and solutions implemented to reduce energy consumption. It relies on technical means such as attic insulation, mursmurs and floors or the change of joinery and glazingglazing. In businesses, it’s a little different, energy consumption can be reduced by replacing aging vehicles with more efficient ones, by turning down the heating a small degree and why not by… distributing sweaters extra for employees?
