A 27-year-old tourist who claims she was raped by several men last Thursday night has apparently left Paris.

According to the French newspaper “Le Parisien”, the 27-year-old Mexican woman, who is said to have been raped near the Eiffel Tower in the night from Wednesday to Thursday, is no longer in Paris. It is said that she neither wanted to undergo a smear test to secure traces nor filed a complaint once morest the alleged rapist. “The victim has disappeared,” says a source familiar with the matter, “which does not mean there is no victim.”

The Paris public prosecutor had already ordered the arrest measures to be lifted last Saturday, but nevertheless announced that they wanted to continue investigating the potential perpetrators. She wants to carry out all investigations that are necessary to find the truth.
