Alleged leader of the “Tren de las Margaritas” falls on UD-338

After confronting the commission of the Directorate Against Organized Crime of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), a subject nicknamed “Luis Zasa” was killed.

The fallen would be the leader of the criminal gang “el Tren de las Margaritas”, which operates in the Core 8 sector, in Puerto Ordaz.

They identified him as Luis Sifontes. Authorities reported that alias “Luis Zasa” had a record for drugs and kidnapping.

According to reports, officers moved this Thursday to the UD-338 sector, as part of the investigations to find him, following receiving complaints, in which they pointed to the dejected person of keeping the community whipped.

After the deployment, the shootout in which alias “Luis Zasa” died would have originated.

The criminal group led by Sifontes is linked to the extortion of merchants in that sector, in addition to the constant robberies of passers-by, according to reports.

At the site, a .380 caliber firearm was recovered that the subject would have used to confront the authorities.
