Alleged gang members arrested used surveillance cameras to avoid being discovered

Five alleged criminals were captured in Boca del Monte, where drugs and cash were confiscated.

The National Civil Police (PNC) reported that this Tuesday, April 30, five alleged members of the gang 18 were arrested in a raid for drug distribution.

The arrests were recorded in the 10 de Mayo neighborhood, zone 1 of Boca del Monte, Villa Canales, during a raid carried out by agents from Police Station 15 in coordination with the Public Ministry.

This is Emelin “N”, 35 years old; José “N”, 31; and Ianlail “N”, 34, who has five previous convictions for robbery, active bribery, illegal carrying of a knife and theft of mobile terminal equipment, in 2010 and 2017.

The other detainees are Ostin “N”, 27, with a history of robbery, dated November 6, 2018, and Nelson “N”, 25, alias “Chatarras”, who had an arrest warrant for homicide in degree attempt and registers a record for extortion.

According to the PNC, those captured had a closed circuit of video surveillance cameras installed to avoid being discovered.

In the raided property, agents located 15 bags with marijuana, 45 fangs with cocaine, 61 crack stones and Q272 supposedly proceeds from the sale of the drug.

The diligence was carried out in follow-up to investigations into alerts that gang members who distribute drugs and engage in illicit acts in that sector take refuge in the property.
