Andrés Ricci García, the alleged feminicide of the former skater Luz Mery Tristán, was prosecuted this Monday. Although he did not accept the charges, the man was charged with the crimes of aggravated femicide in a heterogeneous and successive competition with the manufacture, trafficking and possession of firearms, accessories, parts and ammunition.

After the hearing, the Prosecutor’s Office released the first photograph of Andrés Ricci in custody, in which he is seen handcuffed together with an officer of the prosecution body and a member of the Police.

This is the first known image of the indicated femicide following his capture, because this Sunday only part of his face was seen, wearing a mask, during the judicial hearing that took place at night and in which he participated from a clinic from Cali, where, according to what was known, he was hospitalized due to health problems.
Now, at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, Ricci must comply with the security measure in the prison while the process once morest him continues. And, if found guilty, he will face a sentence of between 40 and 50 years in prison.

The facts
According to the information that the Prosecutor’s Office has, the authorities received an alert regarding a possible murder inside a house in the El Mameyal condominium, northwest of Cali. Upon arriving at the place, the CTI and the Police found the lifeless body of Luz Mery Tristán.
In another of the rooms of the house, the authorities found the athlete’s sentimental partner, Andrés Gustavo Ricci García, apparently in a state of alcoholism and with the murder weapon. From that moment, the man became the main suspect in the murder.

In addition, the Prosecutor’s Office stated that, during the investigation, the investigators found inside the house a semi-automatic pistol, a revolver and three traumatic pistols. All without the respective permission.
