New allegations of sexual assault and harassment have been made once morest French actor Gérard Depardieu. As the French online portal Mediapart reports, 13 women accuse him of groping them or of being verbally abusive. It is regarding alleged incidents during the shooting of films and series between 2004 and 2022. The allegations come from actresses, make-up artists and crew members. A lawyer for the 74-year-old denied all criminally relevant allegations.
Depardieu is already being investigated for allegations of rape. He is said to have raped actress Charlotte Arnould twice in 2018, which Depardieu denied.
In the new report, a woman describes how Depardieu tried to put his hand in her panties on set. When she resisted, he is said to have become aggressive. Another accuses him of groping her on the bottom.
Several of the women criticize in the article that no action was taken on the film sets and the behavior was tolerated.
So far, none of the 13 women have filed a complaint, but three of them have made their statements available to the judiciary.
