This time, we will be reviewing the newly released 8-inch small Android tablet “Alldocube iPlay 50 mini Pro NFE”…
Let’s take a look!
Appearance and specs
Let’s start with what’s included. From the outside of the box, it has a cute design for kids. In addition to the tablet itself, it comes with an English vocabulary study card, touch pen, manual, USB charger, strap, USB Type-C to A cable, and SIM pin.
The AC adapter is of course Type-A with a PSE mark and a 10w output.
The main unit comes with a case from the beginning, as shown below. Of course it is removable.
The specs are the same as iPlay50 mini.
The SoC uses UNISOC T606. Cortex-A75 x2 and A55 x6 octa-core. GPU is Mali-G57 MP1.
Other features include 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, 64GB UFS storage, 8.4-inch (1920 x 1200) IPS display (60Hz), up to 1TB microSD card slot, and 4,000mAh battery. The OS is the latest Android 13.
Communication supports dual nano SIM, dual band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0.
Features that the iPlay50 mini does not have include a management app for children and an English vocabulary learning app using “AR Zoo” using the included cards.
However, although such pre-installed apps are included, it is iPlay50 mini including the home screen.
The case has a handle as shown below.
The handle can be bent 90 degrees both upward and downward, so it can be used as a stand.
The case also stores the pen shown below. This pen has touch parts on both the top and bottom.
The camera section is open on the back as shown below.
On the bottom, there is a power/volume button and a pen storage area as shown below. The buttons are located deep, so they are difficult to press.
There is a USB Type-C port on the side.
On the opposite side is a speaker hole as shown below.
There is also a 3.5mm earphone jack in the corner of the main unit, but this case hides it.
The weight including the case is 463g.
iPlay50 mini if you remove the case
The case is made of soft resin and is easily removable. The case itself is quite lightweight.
When you remove the case, it is iPlay50 mini. It is a small 8.4 inch Android tablet.
actual usability
For more details, please see the iPlay50 mini review at the beginning, but the home screen following completing the initial settings is shown below.
The wallpaper is the same as the iPlay50 mini, but there are some pre-installed apps for kids.
The device name is set in KizPad_Pro.
Like iPlay50 mini, the display size is set to be larger, so the amount of displayed information will increase if you set it to the minimum size.
benchmark score
Geekbench 6 score is also the same as iPlay50 mini.
When re-measured, single core 381, multi-core 1398.
GPU score is 448.
As shown below, the storage read/write speed is UFS, but it is not that fast.
iPlay50 mini with bonus
The parts for kids are basically just pre-installed apps and accessories. The contents, such as the UI design, remain the same, so it’s a little questionable whether children will be able to use it comfortably. If you’re really buying one for a child, an iPad is probably a better option.
On the other hand, this unit is an iPlay50 mini that you can buy for almost the same price with a bonus, so it’s not bad for those who want an iPlay50 mini.
