On Friday, the socialist minister had already announced that nine centers would reactivate this week the possibility of being vaccinated without an appointment.
The time slots without an appointment will be permanent in all the centres, with the exception of the time slots reserved for the vaccination of children aged 5 to 11, on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday mornings until 12 p.m.
It is therefore sufficient to present your identity card and your summons. Appointments can still be made via the website www.jemevaccine.be, which also provides the schedules and addresses of the vaccination centres, or by calling the free number 0800/45 019.
So far, 72% of the Walloon population aged 18 and over has been vaccinated or has made an appointment in the coming days. This rate is 88% for immunocompromised people and 90% for people aged 65 and over.
As for the vaccination of children aged 5 to 11, which starts in full this Wednesday in Wallonia following a pilot phase, nearly 15,000 pediatric doses are scheduled this week in all the centers, which are full until the end of the month. In total, nearly 30,000 appointments have already been made, which represents almost 10% of children aged 5 to 11 in Wallonia.
