Apple released iOS 15.3.1 and iPad OS 15.3.1 updates today. Although there are no major new features, the official recommends users to upgrade quickly because many important bugs have been fixed.
According to Apple’s release notes, iOS 15.3.1 and iPad OS 15.3.1 fix an issue that might cause braille displays to stop responding.
According to Apple, the iOS 15.3.1 and iPad OS 15.3.1 updates also provide important security fixes for the iPhone and iPad. Apple’s accompanying security support document explains that the software addresses a WebKit vulnerability that might allow maliciously crafted web content to lead to arbitrary code execution.
Apple says it is aware of reports that the vulnerability may have been actively exploited, so iPhone and iPad users must update to the new iOS 15.3.1 and iPad OS 15.3.1 as soon as possible.
The iOS 15.3.1 and iPadOS 15.3.1 updates are now available for free download, and are available over-the-air in the Settings app for all eligible iOS devices. To download and install new software, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
