All polling stations, where and how you can vote

The time is counting down for the elections in PASOK – KINAL.

For the convenience of voters, PASOK published a special interactive map, so that each voter can find their nearest polling station and find out where they are voting.

On the left side of the page there is the map and clicking on the region you want immediately brings up all the polling stations on the right and there is even a map to direct you.

See here the interactive map.

You can see them here by region in detail the polling stations where you can vote in the internal party elections on October 6, as you can see and the election centers abroad.

In the PASOK internal party elections, any voter who wishes can take part, even without being a member of the party, as happened in all the last internal party contests of the movement.

Everything you need to know about voting

As all the candidates and party actors in Trikoupi County anticipate increased participation, approximately 950 polling stations will be operating throughout the country and in some cities abroad. In each polling station there will be a tablet, through which the data will be cross-referenced and at the end the votes will be counted.

The polls will open at 7 a.m. on Sunday and close at 7 p.m. the same day, with the possibility of an extension where there is an increased turnout.

Anyone over the age of 16 who lives permanently in Greece can vote. Those foreigners who are legally in the country can also vote. The condition is that they must be or register as members of PASOK-KINAL or declare how they wish to be its friends. With a responsible declaration they will state that they are not members of another party. This can be done at the polling station by paying the amount of 3 euros. They must have with them a police ID or other public identification document (eg driver’s license, passport).

Especially for 16-year-olds and foreigners, who are not included in the National electoral roll, identification is carried out, for Greeks with an identity card/passport and AMKA, for foreigners with a residence permit and AMKA and for Cypriots with a Cypriot identity card and AMKA . The AMKA will result from a public document (e.g. e-EFKA), which will be shown to the electoral committee.

The fee for participating in the vote is set at 3 euros and is paid in the first round, while no fee will be paid for the second round.

Voters can vote in any electoral division of the Country, regardless of where they live or where they exercise their right to vote in national, local and European elections. Only those who have voted in the first round have the right to vote in the second round.

Voters of the second round can vote in any electoral district of the country, regardless of the electoral district they voted in the first round.

Step by step the process

The voter:

  • He arrives at the polling station, where it is recommended that there be a “reception” table with volunteers to help him fill out the registration form, provided he knows in advance that he is not a member.
  • At the table of the Electoral Committee, he hands over his identity card and the member/friend registration application, if he is not a member, and his accreditation is done by the tablet operator and he is registered as a voter by the Secretary, to whom he pays the amount of 3 euros (only in the first round of elections) and signs. Afterwards, the President seals the envelope and delivers it together with the ballot to the voter.
  • He goes behind the screen and votes, puts the folded ballot in the envelope.
  • It returns to the Electoral Commission and before dropping the envelope into the ballot box, the President must initial it. He takes the identity card/passport and leaves the E.T.
