How to activate the Mystery Gift function?
To unlock the Mystery Gift feature in your Pokémon Scarlet and Purple game you must do the following:
- Keep it up in the main adventure until you reach your first pokmon center.
- Reaching this point in history takes about 1 hour and a half.
Once you get to your first Pokémon Center you will unlock the Pokportal menu as explained by your friend Menca. Starting at this point in the story, all players can access the Mystery Gift feature in this menu. Of course, in order to use this function properly it is necessary to have our linked console user to our nintendo account and one stable internet connection (It will not be necessary to have an active paid subscription to the Nintendo Switch Online service).
Mystery Gift Options
When you access the Mystery Gift menu in Scarlet and Purple you will see that the following options are available: optionsEach one serves a different purpose:
- Receive online: This option allows you to get free gifts (if any are available) simply by connecting to the Internet with your console.
- Receive by code or password: This option allows you to receive a special gift by connecting to the Internet and entering a unique use code (there may be exclusive and global codes for the whole world).
- See gifts: allows you to see all the gifts you have already received, their contents and the dates you got them.
