Now that Genshin Impact 3.7 has been released, the beta version of the 3.8 update has been made available to HoYoverse test program participants. Consequently, this led to several leaks regarding Genshin Impact 3.8 and its main event, including the list of characters who will participate in the story in this version, as well as how the event mission will be divided.
Genshin Impact 3.8: All main event characters and a mysterious one
As with previous versions of Genshin Impact, update 3.8 will feature well-known characters. According to leaker “HoyoverseJapan” in a Twitter post, the main event of Genshin Impact 3.8 will take place on a new island called Penumbra, which will replace the Golden Apple Archipelago map. Also, in the tweet it was said that we will have the presence of the following characters in the next update of the game:

According to “HoyoverseJapan”, at the moment there is not enough information regarding the character without identity. It is believed that he might be some NPC (non-playable character) that will appear in the main event of Genshin Impact 3.8.
Another information leaked by the leaker says regarding an NPC called “Water Droplet”. However, nothing indicates that he might be the mysterious character.
According to the revealed information, most of the NPC dialogue will occur through speakers used for announcements. They will be mirrored by the Penumbra island map, which has a themed amusement park.

Genshin Impact Update 3.8 is believed to be released on July 5, 2023.
