The 59th National University Rugby Championship entered the third round, and on December 11th, Doshisha University (Kansai University A League, 3rd place) and Fukuoka Institute of Technology (Kyushu Student League A, 1st place) at Hanazono Rugby Stadium in Higashiosaka City. Doshisha University defeated Fukuoka Institute of Technology, who had won the first round, with a score of 62-17.

In the 11th minute of the first half, a player from Fukuoka Institute of Technology was sent out for 10 minutes due to an intentional foul, and immediately after that, Doshisha University went deep into the enemy territory and pushed in with a mall from the lineout to take the lead. In the 15th minute, he put pressure on the opposing forwards, who were down to seven, with a scrum to get a penalty, and scored another goal with a lineout maul.

Fukuoka Institute of Technology entered the enemy’s 22m line several times, but Doshisha University’s defense was solid.

Doshisha University, who won, advanced to the quarterfinals and will challenge Teikyo University (Kanto University A, 1st place) aiming for consecutive titles at Chichibunomiya Rugby Stadium in Tokyo on December 25th.
