Released on June 2, 2022 Diablo Immortal for iOS and Android on a free-to-play basis. On the PC, the action role-playing game is still in the beta phase.

The PC version of Diablo Immortal you can download it in advance via Battle.Net. The servers for PC and mobile platforms go live in Germany from 7 p.m. Cross-progression is also possible as long as you are logged into your Battle.Net account. Although you can also use a mobile guest account, the score is then not synchronized in the cloud.

What content is free in the free-to-play model

Diablo Immortal is available as a free download on PC, iOS and Android in the stores. This includes the complete story mode and all six classes (barbarian, monk, demon hunter, sorceress, necromancer and crusader). So, in theory, you can experience the entire game without spending any money. But as usual with free-to-play, you can speed up numerous processes with real money and thus get rare loot and equipment faster.

Incidentally, Diablo Immortal will not be released in the Netherlands and Belgium. A Blizzard spokesman shared the Dutch site Tweakers with, “that this is due to the current operating conditions for games in these countries”. Already in 2018 Blizzard in Belgium removed the loot boxes from Heroes of the Storm and Overwatch (we reported).

Number of players and change of classes

Although Diablo Immortal was created as an MMO, it is possible to play the entire game solo. Of course it will be easier in a group and game director Wyatt Cheng said in an interviewthat they want to promote the social component. Still, he confirmed that all elements can be completed solo.

The focus should be on the “Cycle of Strife”, in which two factions compete against each other in PVP battles. This is where the guilds fight for dominance on the server.
