Since the early 90s, Leonardo DiCaprio’s name has become a figure who is touted as Hollywood’s golden child. The nickname actually proved to be true considering the treatment of the biggest film industry in the world to the actor.
New facts were revealed by Christian Bale in his recent interview with GQ. He explained that Leonardo DiCaprio received offers from all major male roles in Hollywood even today. He even mentioned that all the actors got the main roles just because the offer had been rejected by Leo.
Bale also mentioned that the actors in his era owed a lot to the figure of Leonardo DiCaprio.
“I suspect that almost everyone his age (Leonardo DiCaprio) in Hollywood owes (to him) for their careers for which he has given up (offer) any project,” he said.
“No matter what people tell you. No matter how close you are to the director. Everyone I’ve worked with several times, they all must have offered the role to him (Leo) first,” he added.
Another compliment was given by the Thor: Love and Thunder star. He openly mentions Leonardo DiCaprio as a phenomenal figure in the acting industry. He also admitted that he had lost to the man who is now reportedly close to Gigi Hadid in several projects, one of which was Titanic.
According to him, competition does often occur, but it is almost certain that Leonardo DiCaprio is the first choice of most cast directors to directors in Hollywood.
The conversation regarding his career and Leonardo DiCaprio appeared when he was asked by Zach Baron regarding the news in 2000, where Leonardo DiCaprio was said to really want to play the character of Patrick Bateman in American Psycho.
