Representatives of the National People’s Congress and members of the Political Consultative Conference “A stepping stone for active response to high-tech industries in the US”

In this year’s China’s ‘Two Sessions’ (National People’s Congress, Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference), all the big tech giants have exited, and the heads of high-tech industries such as semiconductors have been deployed in large numbers. It is interpreted as a move to more actively respond to the US check in the high-tech industry.

According to Archyde.com and Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post (SCMP) on the 4th, representatives of the National People’s Congress (National People’s Congress) and members of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPC) met with Ma Huateng, chairman of Tencent, and Jack Ma, founder of Alibaba. All big tech figures representing China, such as Baidu CEO Li Yanhong (李彦宏) and Li Yanhong (李彦宏) were excluded.

There are regarding 2,900 representatives of the National People’s Congress, which serves as the National Assembly, and regarding 2,300 members of the Political Consultative Conference in charge of policy advisory. Until recently, the heads of China’s big tech have served as economic facilitators for the Chinese government, serving as representatives of the National People’s Congress or members of the Political Consultative Conference. However, in October 2020, when Jack Ma directly criticized the financial authorities, the Chinese government imposed omnidirectional sanctions for over two years.

The positions left out by big tech personnel were filled by heads of companies in high-tech industries that China is intensively fostering, such as semiconductors, electric vehicles, and new materials.

Jiang Suxin, chairman of Huahong Semiconductor, a Chinese foundry (semiconductor consignment production) company, and Chen Tianshi, CEO of Cambricon, an artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductor manufacturer, were elected as representatives of the National People’s Congress and members of the Political Consultative Conference, respectively. In addition, more than 100 experts in the high-tech field were included, including Lei Jun, chairman of mobile phone maker Xiaomi, and He Xiaopeng, chairman of electric car maker Xiaopeng. They have one thing in common: they are leaders in an industry actively supported by China once morest US checks.
