The new creation of Hidetaka Miyazaki’s studios, From Software, is gradually establishing itself as the most anticipated release of the year 2022. A status confirmed by its “most awaited game” award at the Game Awards 2021 last December. The excitement of the fans is growing, and there is much, as this new part provides us with a unique adventure of its kind. And for good reason, From Software studios have never accustomed us to less than excellence in recent years, with the releases of Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro. Elden Ring should therefore not disappoint, presenting us with a new open-world adventure straight from the imagination of none other than George RR Martin, the writer behind the Game of Thrones novels. Elden Ring also received an official release date but unfortunately it was pushed back a month. We will have to wait for the February 25, 2022 before you can get your hands on the long-awaited RPG. A decision that the From Software teams have justified in the tweet below. Seasoned veterans, lovers of challenges, where intrepid neophytes will be able to launch themselves into the Underground, and attempt to defeat the descendants of Marika in order to reunite the fragments of Elden’s circle. An adventure on a path that promises to be winding and very perilous. Good news, Bandai Namco has also made the choice to release Elden Ring on older generation consoles. It will therefore be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S et PC thus making no jealous.
It’s hard not to recognize the peculiar touch of Hidetaka Miyazaki (no family link with Hayao Miyazaki, the founder of Ghibli studios) during these three minutes. A universe as dark as it is mysterious, an enigmatic scenario, characters and monsters with so … varied attractions. It is indeed the work of the Japanese director, at the origin of Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro. And this time around, he was able to count on a collaboration with none other than George RR Martin, the author behind the Game of Thrones saga to provide us with this unique experience. It will be an open world game that the player can browse at will while completing side quests and following the main plot. The game also incorporates multiplayer aspects, up to four players.
As far as his story goes, Elden Ring takes place in a whole new universe, drawn from the imagination of none other than George R.R. Martin. Recently interviewed by the American newspaper WWTW, the author of Game of Throne confirmed his involvement in the project throughout its many years of development. He claimed to have shaped the universe of Elden Ring in detail in order to provide developers with a solid foundation for the development of their game. Given the complexity and originality of the universes that George RR Martin is capable of creating, we can expect high-flying storytelling. If we add that to the inventiveness and the graphic quality to which the From Software teams have accustomed us, Elden Ring may very quickly gain its place alongside the excellent Bloodborne, Demon’s Souls or Sekiro. Besides, George RR Martin himself said he was eager to discover the game. The story of Elden Ring is this:
