Alkolenker rammed a taxi – three injured

In Liezen in Upper Styria there was a collision between a car and a taxi at night. The drunk car driver may have seen the taxi, which had lower priority, too late. Three people were injured.

The 66-year-old taxi driver was just turning out of a garage exit onto Pyhrnpass Straße (B138) when the 40-year-old car driver from the Liezen district approached on the main road.

The 40-year-old might no longer brake and subsequently rammed his vehicle into the driver’s side of the taxi, in which there was also a 58-year-old passenger.

Driver’s license was taken away from the driver

All three people involved suffered unspecified injuries as a result of the collision. They were admitted to the LKH Rottenmann. Significant property damage was caused to both vehicles and the main road also had to be temporarily closed following the accident. According to the police, the 40-year-old driver was found to be moderately intoxicated. The man’s driver’s license was provisionally confiscated.
