As a result, the man rammed two of the patrol cars before fleeing on the Rheintalautobahn in the opposite direction of travel. He finally stopped and was arrested when he was pushed onto a green verge.

According to the police, the car used by the man was the car of a company where the 30-year-old does not work. In addition, the man, once morest whom there is a gun ban, carried an unloaded alarm gun on the passenger seat. Further investigations are ongoing, it said.
