Diego Armando Riascos, known as ‘Tura’, has been sent to prison by a judge. This individual, with a criminal record of more than nine years, is the head of the ‘Jaime Martínez’ urban front of the FARC dissidents, which operates in Cauca and Valle del Cauca.

Alias ​​’Tura’ is identified as one of the main people responsible for the threats against the holding of COP16. He is also linked to the attack on the military canton of the Third Army Brigade in Cali, which took place on April 4.

He is also accused of having coordinated a car bomb attack in Cali and of supporting the revival of the Manuel Cepeda Vargas urban front.

Investigations by the Prosecutor’s Office reveal that alias ‘Tura’ was allegedly involved in recruiting young people in Cali, whom he then handed over to dissidents in the Naya region.

Alias ​​’Tura’ was arrested on June 25 in Santander de Quilichao. Due to the overwhelming evidence presented by the Prosecutor’s Office, on June 30 a judge decided to send him to prison on charges of terrorism.
