The young artist told Al Arabiya.net that the series “The Box” was not planned to be shown during the Ramadan 2023 season, but the matter happened by chance.
Between mystery, excitement, suspense, and romance, were the characters he presented in both works: “The Seventh Harsha” and “The Box”, and in each of them he had a different role and a new character that he had not presented before. Ali Qassem confirmed in his interview with Al-Arabiya.net that for the first time a work of art was presented that explicitly talks about relationships and opinions about childbirth, and that “The Seventh Harsha” is the series he was most afraid of while filming, and the most series through which he received reactions that he did not He expected it, especially with the showing of the first two episodes of it, while the series “The Box”, although it was shown without warning, he loved this work very much, and his cooperation with all those in charge of it.

* What motivated you to the role of Sharif in “The Seventh Harsha”?
Sherif is a character that is present around us in abundance, and it is not the character of the traditional Egyptian man, but he is undoubtedly present, and the story of Julia, his daughter, is one of the things that excited me the most for the role, because her appearance added a “twist” to the events, and the story in general is different and unconventional, and a story that needs me to take my time until I get it, and it’s a nice challenge.
* What were the most difficult scenes that you presented in “The Seventh Harsha”?
Many of the scenes in the second half of the episodes of the series were more difficult and heavier. For me, the second half of the series carries the most difficult scenes more than the first half, whose tone was largely calm, and the scenes of confession and confrontation with Salma, his wife, and his family in the tenth episode were somewhat difficult because it was set In a difficult situation for the first time.
* Did you hesitate to accept the role, especially since it deals with a thorny idea?
On the contrary, I did not hesitate for a moment in accepting the role. The idea of being associated with a girl who was in an old romantic relationship before marriage did not worry me at all about presenting the role. He explains the reasons for his refusal to work, and that the series was strange to me and for the first time I presented a role in this way.

Did you expect all this success?
I did not expect all this success achieved by the series, especially from the first episodes, and the resonance that occurred, especially since the story discusses relationships and raising children, and I was happy to present the character who suffers from a certain trauma from a young age that made him believe that he did not want to have children, and the character was saying her reasons in the series.
* Isn’t it the first time you cooperate with director Karim El-Shennawy? There was chemistry between you and Asmaa Jalal
Certainly, it is the third cooperation that brings us together, and I was pleased to cooperate with him in the series “The Seventh Hersha”, and it is one of the most important reasons for the factors for presenting the role. Kimia and we understand each other at work, and we previously cooperated with each other in the series “The Game of Oblivion” 3 years ago, and since then we wanted to repeat the experience.
A series like “The Seventh Harsha” certainly had strong preparations?
I prepare for the works that I present in a strong way, and things are not done easily, and in my work I am an obsessive person, and I try to remedy this matter, because it may disrupt work, and I try to worry a little because at times excessive anxiety disrupts work, and the series “The Seventh Harsha” was more A project I was dreading shooting.

* And did you know the concept of the seventh harsha before starting to prepare for the series?
I knew it before, as I read that it is a term that describes the feeling of anxiety and dissatisfaction in a marriage relationship after 8 or 9 years have passed, but the first time I heard the seventh crackle.
What does Sherif look like to your character?
Sharif’s personality is similar to me in that he only follows his ideas, and I agree with many of his ideas, but I differ with him on two points, for example, and in any case, I must love the personality that I embody so that I can defend it, and I do not look at the position of customs and traditions regarding the ideas and actions of the personality. But my only responsibility is to live the character’s experience from her point of view, and I must separate from the audience’s reactions to the character, and justify my character’s actions even if they do everything wrong.
* In Ramadan 2023, I participated in the series “The Box” alongside “The Seventh Harsha”.. Did you like the idea?
“The Fund” was not planned to be released during the Ramadan 2023 season, but the matter happened by chance, and in general I cannot comment on matters outside my control, as presenting works is related to the producing party, but I am happy with the experience that I presented with all those in charge of the series.
* Tell us about the experience of the “box”?
The series is different, and it targets the teenage generation. I care about this young generation, as it is a generation that has a different outlook from us during that same period. You feel that they are older than their age. I love their way of thinking and their differences and that they are not restricted. I am very interested in following the generation, and the author Mustafa Saqr presented an original story And this is the fourth cooperation with the production company, and the presence of the work team Ahmed Dash and Hoda Al-Mufti with whom I have a strong friendship made the matter more enthusiastic, and the director is his first experience, but I previously cooperated with him in the movie “Kira Wal-Jin” as an executive director, and the soundtrack executor Khaled Al-Kammar, who presented The Seventh Harsha series is the third time I cooperate with it, although we did not meet, but it is an addition to the project, and the role is completely different from Sharif’s role in everything, and the idea of showing it in the second half of Ramadan made me happy and I was pleased with the reactions to it.
Do you like to see your work?
I only watch the works when I finish filming, although I do not see all the works in which I participate, and I do not feel that this thing is important to me.
