The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) revealed the names of 10 prosecutors who were withdrawn from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). One of the prosecutors is former KPK spokesman Ali Fikri.

“There are Ahmad Burhanudin, Ali Fikri, and Andhi Kurniawan,” said the Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General’s Office, Harli Siregar, to Medcom.id today.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Burhanuddin is the Head of the KPK Legal Bureau and Andhi Kurniawan is the Head of the KPK’s Regulation and Legal Product Design Division. The two prosecutors who also fill structural positions at the KPK were also sent home by the AGO along with Ali Fikri.

Then, seven other prosecutors only serve functionally in the anti-corruption agency. The seven prosecutors are Andry Prihandono, Ariawan Agustiartono, Arif Suhermanto, Atty Novianty, Arin Karniasari, Putra Iskandar, and Titik Utami.

Previously reported, the Attorney General’s Office withdrew 10 senior prosecutors assigned to the KPK to return to duty in the Adhyaksa Corps. The withdrawal of the 10 prosecutors was said not to be sudden and was in the context of refreshing the Attorney General’s Office environment. Moreover, the senior prosecutors who were withdrawn had served for more than 10 years in the Anti-Corruption Agency.

“And indeed, it has been included in the refreshment program because they have served an average of 10-12 years at the KPK,” said Harli.

In addition, Harli ensured that the withdrawal of the 10 prosecutors was not related to the handling of any cases. He said that the AGO would assign other prosecutors to replace the 10 people withdrawn from the KPK.

“The mechanism will be carried out as before, some are asked to return then some are assigned as replacements,” concluded Harli. (Yon/P-2)
