Investigations by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Giza Security Directorate revealed the outcome of the stolen items from the villa of the artist Samira Sedky in the Haram area, west of the governorate.
The inspection and the statements of the accused proved that the perpetrators of the incident seized funds in foreign currencies, which were estimated (200 thousand Egyptian pounds – one thousand dollars – one thousand euros) with a total of 233 thousand pounds.
The head of the shooting police station received a notification from the emergency police that the artist Samir Sedky discovered the theft of her house in mysterious circumstances, and she did not accuse or suspect anyone.
A force from the Pyramid Department inspected the villa, led by Colonel Ahmed El-Desouki, and it was found that the entrances and exits were safe, indicating that the perpetrator entered legally, as well as a scattering of the contents of the reported residence.
Colonel Muhammad al-Saghir, the inspector of the pyramid, formed a search team that reviewed the surveillance cameras and examined the visitors to the villa, with questioning the guards of the neighboring properties.
The search efforts found the involvement of the complainant’s business agent, in conjunction with one of his relatives, the “executor” and the theft of a sum of money from her treasury. The two might be seized and the stolen items returned with a mission led by Major Ahmed Essam and his assistant, Major Muhammad Saudi.
The necessary report was drawn up, and Major General Alaa Farouk, Assistant Minister of Interior for the Giza Security Sector, referred it to the Public Prosecution, which initiated the investigation.
